Bickmore Gall Salve
A. Parker Bickmore began making this Gall Salve in 1884 in a 2
quart dish pan on a kitchen stove. By 1896 he and his family was turning
out 1700 cans of gall salve a day! Sometime later the company developed
Spohns Compound. No one who ever doctored a horse with shipping fever can
ever forget the smell of Spohns. As the years went by, the company
fell upon some hard times, but in 1972 a fellow by the name of Peter Ottowitz
bought out the company. He has added many new products, one of them
being our best selling leather conditioner Bick 4. The company now is
located in Brighton, Michigan.
House or barn, this salve is great for any minor wound or
cut. You can use it on a saddle, or hobble gall and keep right on using
the horse. I've used it as a poultice before because it sure will draw out
any inflammation. The fact that it has been around for 117 years should
tell you something! Price $6.95

Bag Balm
Started out in 1899, and as the name implies, for milk cows. Now it is used in 101 different ways, from dry and cracked skin to squeaky hinges. We have used it in our house and barn for sixty years. It has always been packed in a square green tin that holds 10 ozs. Price $6.95...You can even get a purse size 1 oz.
Blackrock Leather 'N' Rich
Many years ago while searching for something else, a chemist came up with our
best leather preserver. It's easy to use, colorless, will not change your color
and a little goes a long way. It softens, it is excellent for exotic leathers
and never stains your fingers. It even shines with a little buffing! Named after
a Sioux Chief, it comes in a 4 oz. jar.... Price $4.95
